Paid survey scam: Not all online panels are trustworthy
There are a few, mainly foreign, opinion research institutes that do not pay money and act fraudulently. The majority of German companies, especially those I present on this page, are reliable and serious. In my experience, fraud is absolutely out of the question if you are registered with the right panels. You can see which pollsters are good at the end of the page, in the list of the best panels.
How do I recognize Scam in the field of paid surveys?
First of all you should make sure that you are not promised too much. No survey company will pay you 50 Euro for participating in a survey. If you only are active on one survey site, you won't get paid anywhere near 250 Euro like some sites want to make you believe. This is dubious and has nothing to do with reality. Realistic are between 1€ and 6€ per survey, depending on provider and length of the opinion poll. By beeing active at 4-6 panels, you might make something between 30 and 60 Euro per month. Nonetheless, if you are very active and have a membership with more than 10 panels, you might earn well over a hundred euros per month.
Another point to pay attention to is the location of the company. Most European and German market researchers act in accordance with the applicable laws and data protection conditions of Germany and the EU Commission respectively. With offshore companies or companies from Asia and overseas, you have to be much more careful.
